Baby Groot detonator
The detonator used by Baby Groot in Gaurdians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2.
This is a mixed media life-sized prop replica. The main body and large switches were modeled in Google Sketchup and Fusion 360. The main body was printed on an Original Prusa MK2s and then heavily distressed and modified post-printing.
The buttons were modeled in Google Sketchup and printed on the Original Prusa MK2s. THe prints then underwent post-processing and were molded and cast in translucent red dyed resin.
The Annulax batteries were modeled in Fusion 360 and printed in clear resin on Form 2. Colored resin was used to fill the helix.
All parts were engineered and designed with a lighting feature in mind and all lighting, wiring, and battery power is hidden within the body of the detonator.
All modeling, fabrication, wiring, assembly, and packaging done by me.
